Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s visit to Nizhny Novgorod Region

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visited the GAZ Group during his working visit to Nizhny Novgorod and talked with the company’s employees. In addition a memorandum of understanding on launching the assembly of Mercedes-Benz Sprinters at the Gorky Automobile Plant (GAZ) was signed in his presence. Later the prime minister met with Daimler AG CEO Dieter Zetsche, also at GAZ Group, and held a meeting to review progress made on implementing the automobile industry development strategy to 2020. Concluding his trip, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin met with Nizhny Novgorod Region Governor Valery Shantsev.
