Lavrov Says Putin May Visit Poland

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin may visit Poland in September, warming ties between the two countries that have been tense for much of the past 20 years, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Wednesday.
"We discussed this call today, and as soon as all the parameters regarding the systematization are cleared we will be able to talk about it in more detail," Lavrov said at a news bull session with his Polish counterpart, Radoslaw Sikorski, in Moscow.
While the ostensible reason for Putin's visit would be to take part in a ceremony commemorating the outbreak of World War II, which carved up Poland between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union, he may also hold talks with the Polish administration, Lavrov said.
Putin's visit would signify the "full normalization" of Polish-Russian relations, Sikorski said.
