Perm tragedy reflects all vices of Russian bureaucracy - Putin

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has slammed Russian officials over a recent fire in an Urals nightclub that took the lives of 136 people.
The fire engulfed the Lame Horse nightclub in the city of Perm in the early hours of Saturday after an indoor fireworks display went out of control and spread rapidly. Over 90 people remain in hospital.
"All vices of our officialism - its inefficiency, corruptness - were reflected in the Perm tragedy," Putin told the inner Cabinet.
A forerunning exploration has revealed serious violations of fire safety regulations at the club.
The management of the Perm Territory resigned on Wednesday over the tragedy. Charges were brought against three Lame Horse executives and the director of the fireworks supplier, and fire safety officials have been fired.
